Phil Payne, BA, MBA, CPA, CA founded AIM Capital. Phil also founded Westport Supply Company, Inc., a Washington, Oregon, and Alaska commercial laundry supplies distributorship; Tessler Fabcare Inc., a Western Canada commercial laundry equipment and supplies distributorship; and Energy Technology Products Ltd., a Canadian industrial air pollution control distributorship. He sold each of these businesses to other shareholders, a competitor, and employees.

Early in his career Phil was an audit manager providing merger and acquisition consulting services to major North American public companies. He subsequently became CFO and General Manager at Gould Inc., the Canadian subsidiary of a New York Stock Exchange manufacturer of high voltage switchgear, motor controls and power distribution centers.

As audit manager, CFO, CEO, AIM adviser, Phil has negotiated more than 35 acquisitions, divestitures, debt and equity financings in the USA, Canada and China and has assisted several public companies with international purchase investigations.

Phil is past chair of the Edmonton and Alberta YMCA and is a past director of the Vancouver and Edmonton YMCA Foundations. He chaired the Finance Committee of St. Joseph College at the University of Alberta and is a member of the Derrick Golf and Winter Club. He received the City of Edmonton Community Service Citation for his work with various local charities.

David Xu, BSc, Nanjing University, China, and MSc, University of British Columbia, Canada joined AIM Capital in 2005. He is a Canadian citizen with residences in Shanghai and Vancouver. He is a successful engineer and entrepreneur and is the author of more than twelve patents which have been commercialized. David has proven world marketing experience with retail and industrial products. He is fluent in Mandarin and English, and is fully conversant with European, North American and Asian business protocols.

David has successfully negotiated export deals from China, brokered China licensing and joint ventures for Canadian technology in China, and founded a manufacturing company in China which markets solar products for global marine markets.

David has 30 years of experience and will assist you in selling into Chinese markets, or with sourcing from original equipment manufacturers located in China.
